17" VW Goal wheels from Craigslist that came with Pirelli all seasons I’m gonna try to sell. I was a little worried about the fitment because not all 17" wheels fit Performance Package GTIs.

Went to Costco to get my Continental Winter Contact SIs put on.

VW made so many different styles of wheels that there are plenty of choices. I wasn't looking for any style in particular but I'm glad I found these they aren't too common.

Where the hell do you live that you're putting winter tires on in October? When I lived in Wisconsin I usually waited until the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Hour north of Chicago and an hour south of Milwaukee. Probably a little soon but I didn’t want to change them when it was too cold and I really wanted to see what the car looked like with these wheels. Are you gonna put yours in around Thanksgiving still or is DC milder than Wisconsin?

So, Racine or thereabouts?
DC is capable of getting snow but it’s a much milder winter. The leaves have only started to turn in the last week or so and haven’t yet reached peak colors. I’ll probably shoot for making the switch around Thanksgiving but maybe I’ll be able to hold out for longer. I’ll definitely be able to put the summers back on sooner, instead of waiting until late March or early April like I did in Madison.
I’m actually in Burlington at the moment. My mother-in-law’s birthday was Friday. T he whole family threw her a surprise party at Potawotami, and then we came down to Burlington so my wife could spend a couple days with her mom. We’re fl ying back this afternoon.

I'm closer to Gurnee on the IL side of things, it's been pretty chilly in mornings but of course today will the be warmest it's been in a while.
